Umbrakinesis is the power to manipulate darkness/shadows
It's used by channeling a dimension of energy, or using the shadows around 
So I can
-Solidify darkness into weapons such as swords/tentacles
-Have night vision
-Cloak in the shadows
-Teleport using shadows
-Use "dimensional storage" where I can store people and objects in a pocket dimension 

Weaknesses
-Light manipulation/light generation
-May not be able to access dimension of dark energy and must only use surrounding shadows
-Can become corrupted with excessive exposure

I kinda wanna explain why the comic and live action forms look so different. 

With the comic version I kinda wanted to go a little less modern and more formal. With a comic anything is practical, and kinda saw my comic version very laid back and suave. Almost a villain, actually. The comic version just kinda made me want a composed individual who had a firm grasp on their powers. Though their look is much more reminiscent of a DC villain. Because I know DC waay more than marvel. 

With the live action, I'm basically in the same boat as all the other mutants in the collab. Young, still getting a grasp on their powers. Y'know the drill. c:
